Forum for the Social Integration and Participation of Immigrants
BAKETIK is a Centre for Peace, which from its main hub of dissemination focuses on the field of conflict resolution, although under another name: “Ethical Management of Conflicts”.
It is situated within the field of efforts to resolve conflicts and overcome them in a positive, peaceful way through dialogue. There is a universal language that has many nuances which enrich it, and BAKETIK coincides with this central language as regards the basics, although it does offer some specific views. The particular view that BAKETIK wants to offer has its main key in the quest for an ethical handling of conflicts.
The Defentsoria for equality between Men and Women is a pioneering public organ on a Spanish State level, independent, and set up by the Government of the Basque Autonomous Community.
Its mission is to defend people in situations of discrimination for reasons of sex, and to promote and fulfil the principle of equal treatment for men and women in the Basque Autonomous Community.
Its main task is to advise citizens and carry out enquiries on its own initiative or at the request of the party concerned when faced with situations of discrimination for reasons of sex that may arise in the private sector.
FORUM FOR THE SOCIAL INTEGRATION AND PARTICIPATION OF IMMIGRANTS
An advisory organ with the following aims: to be a channel for participation and dialogue, to gather the aspirations and demands of the immigrant population, and the proposals designed to promote their integration, all aimed at facilitating social participation, consultation, information and advice in the planning of actions by the Administration in the matter of immigration.
The Forum aims to be a space for reflection and coordination among the various social players, social and humanitarian organisations, trade unions, management, Public Institutions and Administrations in order to achieve more effective work among all the parties that are committed to the integration of the immigrant population.
The Forum functions though a Plenary and various Working Committees to deal specifically with certain subjects.
